Bio
Born in South Carolina and raised in Sacramento, California, Ron now makes Chicago his home, where he pursues his career on stages and screens both large and small. He's had the great good fortune to tread the boards of Goodman, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, Paramount, Timeline, Northlight, Writer's and many other Chicago area theatres. He enjoys a recurring gig as The Onion's head film critic, Peter K. Rosenthal. Ron holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting with an emphasis in music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. Ron E. Rains is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA, the labor unions which represent professional actors. Ron's most rewarding gig is that of father to his rockstar kids, Max and Seamus.
